Also referred to as the sacrament of Communion, the Lord’s Supper is a gathering where you can reflect on your faith and personal relationship with God, through the communal experience of Christian fellowship. We warmly invite you to take part in our monthly Lord’s Supper service. Visit the church on Sunday to learn more or give us a call!
The Lord’s Supper is an observance of Jesus’ marking of Passover with his disciples to commemorating the deliverance of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt over a shared meal. It was then that he spoke of the bread as his body and the wine as his blood, referring to the ultimate sacrifice he would soon make to save us from sin. Jesus instructed his followers to eat and drink, saying, “Do this in remembrance of me.”
Leading up to the Lord’s Supper service, parishioners who are healthy and able are encouraged to observe the Daniel fast.
"At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over". - Daniel 10:2-3.
